With the wpForo Private Messages addon by gVectors, you can enable secure, direct communication between forum members within your WordPress community. This feature allows users to initiate one-on-one or group conversations without exposing personal contact information, as messages are addressed by usernames and stored within the forum system.
Users can manage their conversations through the “Messages” section in their profiles, where they can view all contacts and message threads. The addon provides tools to add or remove participants, block unwanted messages, and report inappropriate content, helping maintain a respectful and spam-free environment. While the plugin doesn’t support file attachments by default, integrating it with the wpForo Advanced Attachments addon enables users to share files within their private messages.
Administrators have the ability to configure permissions, controlling who can send private messages and setting restrictions for new users to prevent misuse. It’s important to note that, to preserve user privacy, even administrators cannot access the content of private messages.
